The Qld Intercollegiate Golf Association is an association of schools who participate in competitions at various quality golf courses throughout the South-East Queensland region with a view to creating opportunities for keen schoolboy and girl golfers to participate in high level competitions where their talents can be recognised and applauded.

There are three boys divisions, two of which are played “off the stick” essentially for players with single figure handicaps whilst the third division is a nett competition for players with handicaps up to 18. Each team comprises five players.

In the girls section, first division is a gross competition whilst second division is a handicapped event. Each girls’ team comprises three players.

We are offering opportunities for interested schools to participate in a division that suits the level of golf of players attending their school. The four annual events are usually played on a Monday and are spread out over the academic year. The calendar has the dates of all 4 rounds and venues.

Playing costs are $1000 per male team and $600 per girls team for the four competitions. A strict dress and behaviour code applies.

Prizes are awarded to the best gross and nett scores in each division with nearest to pin and longest drive prizes also awarded. At the annual dinner, an All-Collegiate Team is announced for boys and girls based on the best performances over the four rounds of competitions.

There are currently vacancies for teams in all boys and girls divisions and expressions of interest should be addressed to Steve Davies or Mike Comerford. It is possible to enter a team for a particular event or for the four events over the year.
