Scoring

1st - 7 points
2nd - 5 points
3rd - 3 points
4th - 2 points
5th - 1 point
In the event of tied places in a particular event, the 5th card (for boys) and 3rd card (for girls) shall be used to determine the placings.
If, at the end of the 4 events over the year, two teams finish on equal points, the team who has scored the least aggregate points over the year shall be declared the winner. In exceptional circumstances, a player who does not complete 3 intercollegiate rounds but whose performances throughout the year have been of such merit that the QIGA Executive committee considers worthy of his or her inclusion in the All-Collegiate team may be exempted from the above criteria.
